Manens-Tifs at AiCARR National Conference 2018 in Verona, Italy
2018-05-28 Daniel Carta, BIM Manager of Manens-Tifs, will present the case study entitled “BIM approach and building services modeling of the refurbishment and extension of an international airport terminal” at the seminar “BIM: Methods and tools for mechanical design engineering”, that will be held in Verona, Italy on May 30th during the AiCARR National Conference 2018 (AICARR is the national association of heating, cooling and ventilation for buildings, affiliated with ASHRAE and RHEVA).
Daniel’s speech will focus on the use of BIM (Building Information Modeling) in MEP systems design, using Magicad for Revit, one of the most widely used tool for systems modeling.
At a general level, the AiCARR seminar will debate about the addition of BIM into the working methodology of engineering design companies. In fact, the BIM vision represents a real revolution of the approach to design and construction of buildings. BIM involves a deep rethink of the engineering processes and of the approach to design and requires important investments in terms of hardware and software infrastructures, as well as technical staff training in order to adapt to the new methods of working.
Also, specialists and researchers of important software houses will take part to the seminar, presenting relevant case studies in order to show to AiCARR’s partners the strengths and peculiarities of their products, giving a wide overview about the softwares available and their technical specifications.
