Manens appointed for two healthcare projects in the Venice area

Manens – lead consultant in JV with F-PROJECT S.r.l and Studio Architetti Mar – has been appointed for two healthcare projects in the Venice area, involving the hospitals of San Donà di Piave and Portogruaro.

Both works are part of the extension and renovation project of the two hospital complexes, in line with the Veneto Region’s 2023-2032 hospital redevelopment plan, aiming to improve regional healthcare by increasing reception capacity and enhancing the services offered. In particular, the construction of two new buildings planned in both projects requires a functional reorganisation of the spaces and compliance with the latest healthcare standards.

The first facility involved is the Civil Hospital of San Donà di Piave, a regular block, near the city centre, surrounded by a large green area partly arranged as a park. Specifically, the project involves the construction of a new five-floor building to house inpatient wards for about 207 beds.

The second work is the new inpatient ward and outpatient building for the ‘San Tommaso dei Battuti Hospital’ in Portogruaro. The building will rise in the hospital’s park, an area that allows the development of new volumes to replace the existing ones, without interfering with the daily services and access system. The new building will have four floors above ground, one underground, and approximately 107 beds.
