Manens-Tifs in the project team for the extension and renovation of the Luxury Hotel Cristallo in Cortina d’Ampezzo
Hotel Cristallo is a five stars luxury hotel with 120 years of history which has hosted royalty, culture and entertainment personalities including the Savoy family, Lev Tolstoy, James Bond and many others.
The British fund Attestor Capital has acquired the facility and intends to carry out extension works and a complete renovation of the structure, to be completed for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
The architectural project has been entrusted to the prestigious international firm Herzog & De Meuron, supported by Atelier Verticale as local architect, with the general coordination of Walter Boller.
After the expansion, the structure will have more than 80 rooms and many high quality services, including a SPA area and a fitness area of more than 1,200 sqm.
The technological solutions and the construction materials will be oriented to the reduction of energy consumption and to environmental sustainability: from the production and distribution of the energy fluids to the water cycle, aiming at the maximum comfort for the customer and the respect for the environment.
Manens-Tifs will develop all the aspects concerning plant systems, energy and sustainability, confirming its leadership role in the redevelopment of historic structures.
