The partners A.Cavallini, R.Zecchin and A.Boeche presented the paper “Implementation of an emergency intensive care unit within an existing exhibition space”, which analyzes the problems and solutions applied in the realization of the COVID-19 emergency facility within pavilions 1-2 of the old fairgrounds in Milan.<\/p>\n

This is a large-scale intervention (about 25,000 sqm with 157 beds) that had to combine the satisfaction of very restrictive performance and safety parameters with the constraints imposed by existing building structures and plant infrastructures designed for different needs.<\/p>\n
